Kiev National University of Trade and Economics (Київський національний торговельно-ек ономічний університет), referred to as Kiev National University of Economics and Business, is a well-known university of finance and economics in Ukraine. The history of the school can be traced back to 1946. Kiev branch, in 1959, the school was merged into the Kharkov Soviet Trade College. In the same year, it became independent as the Donnes Soviet Trade College. In 1966, the school was renamed Kiev Economics and Trade College. In 1994, the school was upgraded to a university. In 2000, it was awarded the National University qualifications.
The university is located on the east side of Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, near the red line subway. It is more convenient to live and study. There are large supermarkets and markets near the school. The school has complete facilities, including: library, student and graduate dormitory, sports and fitness center, health club, shop, restaurant, gymnasium, shooting range, student theater, etc. The main majors are: finance and credit, statistics and auditing, planned economy, marketing, international economic relations, law, psychology, consumer rights protection, etc. The school has 11 colleges of science, graduate school and doctoral school.
The Kiev National University of Economics and Business established a preparatory department in 2001. The preparatory department provides ten months of teaching for international students in the following fields: engineering, economics, medicine, biology, humanities, etc. During the preparatory studies, students study Russian or Ukrainian Chinese, as well as physics, mathematics, biology, history, chemistry, geography, computer and other courses.
The school has a strong scientific potential, and its main scientific direction is the study of fundamental and applied urgent issues of the Ukrainian socio-economic war. Research results are presented at national and international scientific and research practice meetings.
Kiev National University of Economics and Business has many well-known alumni, former President Viktor Yanukovych, former Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk, former Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament, former Soviet Finance Minister, Congressman Pavlo Rizannik and Numerous governors, state legislators and economists, etc.
