The chronicle of the university begins on March 16, 1874, when the first teaching courses aimed at improving folklore teachers of elementary schools in the Kiev educational district were opened. Boris Grinchenko University in Kiev perfectly combines a long educational tradition with modern and innovative approaches to train professionals of an international standard.
The university includes 6 education departments (School of Humanities, School of Journalism, School of Linguistics, School of Education, School of Art, School of Graduate Teacher Education), 4 colleges (School of Information Technology and Management, School of Health, School of Physical Education, School of Health, Faculty of Physics) Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Law and International Relations and University College, offering training in more than 20 specializations and various educational programs.
The university has a well-established infrastructure: a modern library, which also has sports venues such as swimming pools, gymnasiums and gymnasiums; cyber training grounds; Wi-Fi zones; concert halls and choreography halls; dormitories; TV studios and news centers; practice Centers, Laboratories and Workshops, a resource center providing support for students with disabilities.
In 2017, Grinchenko University launched a new educational strategy. Students learn by doing, a concept developed by university staff to improve the quality of postgraduate training. The new strategy is based on research and hands-on learning; characterized by a reduction in the time spent on traditional lectures and theoretical seminars, and a transition to interactive technologies with the widespread use of advanced equipment. High-quality training, innovative training programs and high-level research are key objectives of the Faculty.
On September 17, 2019, the unveiling ceremony of the Sinology Center of Grinchenko University in Kiev, Ukraine was held in Kiev. This is the first Sinology Center established in Ukraine.
The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Ognev Yuk, President of Glitschko University in Kiev, Gleba, Deputy Minister of Science and Education of Ukraine, Kremen, President of Ukrainian National Academy of Educational Sciences, Li Peilin, Vice President of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Chinese Embassy in Ukraine About 100 people including Ambassador Du Wei and representatives of teachers and students attended the ceremony.
It is an educational cooperation institution established between universities in the People's Republic of China and universities in Ukraine. The alliance aims to promote educational exchanges, cooperation and development between the two countries.
