The Ukrainian National Aviation University was formally established in 1933. It was formerly independent from the Aviation Academy of the Ukrainian National University of Science and Technology (Kiev Polytechnic Institute). It is now a four-level certified higher education institution and one of the famous higher education institutions in Ukraine.
The school is located in the greenery in the northwest of Kiev. It has 12 teaching buildings with a total area of 140,000 square meters, a library with a total collection of 2.5 million books, 14 student dormitory buildings, and comprehensive sports facilities (including the stadium) , swimming pools and various sports fields), publishing houses, canteens, medical fitness centers, etc.
Today, at the National Aeronautical University, there are five research institutes, ten faculties, the Department of Military Training, six faculties, two faculties and the Flying Academy in Kropyvnytskyi. The University's Pearl University is home to one of the largest aviation training hangars in Europe. The NAU Science and Technology Library has a stock of more than 2.6 million volumes.
The National Aviation University prepares for 50 tracks in technical, technical, humanitarian, socio-political, legal and other fields. More than 50,000 students are educated here every year.
It is an educational cooperation institution established between universities in the People's Republic of China and universities in Ukraine. The alliance aims to promote educational exchanges, cooperation and development between the two countries.
